I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Child Life Specialist. My specialization is relationships. Whether I see an individual adult, child, teen, couple, or family, I recognize that our relationships are always with us and influencing our decisions. That is why I work from a relationship perspective.
I have over twenty years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children as a teacher, counselor, health care worker, and therapist in a variety of settings including schools, agencies, non-profits, private practice, and hospitals. My unique education, training, and years of experience allow me to understand the concerns and issues that children, adults, relationships, and families face.
I am originally from the Central Coast of California and lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 15 years, where I received my training as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been together with my wife for over twenty years, although we have known each other since childhood. We also have two children, who are fraternal twins. We moved to Roanoke, Virginia from Phoenix, Arizona, where I trained and worked as a Certified Child Life Specialist.
I prize and enjoy balancing both my personal life with helping others in a professional setting. It is a constant challenge, but one that is incredibly rewarding to me. As a therapist I have the special opportunity to both watch individuals and relationships lead happier lives while growing personally from the struggles and successes I witness.
